Direct Selling Association’s Annual Meeting

A team from Nobis attended the DSA Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona this summer. The meeting is a yearly gathering of top executives within the Direct Selling industry. The event was held at the historic Arizona Biltmore Hotel and hosted educational workshops, general sessions and an industry tradeshow. Nobis is proud to be a Supplier Member of the DSA and an Incentive and Travel leader within this outstanding industry.

GEP Summit

Paris – Annette attended the Global Events Partners Summit this July in Paris, France. The annual Summit is a brainstorming, educational and networking event for the world’s premiere Destination Management Companies, and Events and Travel experts from all over the world. Nobis was proud to be a part of this exclusive, invitation-only event.

Idaho Meth Project

Nobis managed the logistics of the October Idaho Meth Project fundraiser. The Nobis team worked closely with the Idaho Meth Project staff within the Governor’s office to put on a signature event – "Givin' Meth the Boot" (to learn more about this worthy project, click here). The event included a VIP reception with a live and silent auction before a sold out concert. The experienced auctioneer was none other than Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter. Nobis was honored that the Governor and First Lady and staff chose to stop at the Nobis Home Office for a rest and some dinner before heading to the theater for the event. The concert featured 2008 Grammy Nominee and CMA New Artist of the Year – Lady Antebellum – in combination with the auction, netted more than $140,000 for the Idaho Meth Project. Nobis Group Travel Services is proud to be involved with this worthy cause and another great event!

"The most fun part of the event for me was creating the 'red carpet event' in the foyer of the theater. As concert-goers and sponsors entered, we had a local anchorwoman and DJ interviewing guests including Governor Otter, Kathy Simpson (Chair of the event) and her husband, Congressman Mike Simpson, along with ticket-holders. The interviews were shown live on a screen inside the theater, creating an exciting atmosphere. This was truly a gala event!"
Annette Griffin – Managing Partner, Nobis Group Travel Services.

Traveler of the Month

William Kelly, President of Learning.com recently returned from another whirl-wind business trip. Mr. Kelly’s thriving business takes him all over the planet (to say the least). The Nobis Corporate travel staff arranged a "round the world" fare that took Mr. Kelly to Dubai, Istanbul, Singapore, Munich, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Dehli, Bangalore, (BREATHE!) Hong Kong, San Francisco and finally home to Portland, Oregon. He did all this in 12 days! Hats off to our traveler of the month!

"We stayed in constant touch and Mr. Kelly’s trip went off without a hitch. He definitely has a lot of energy! We’re guessing his business meetings were just as successful!"
– Jen Rockwood - Mr. Kelly’s Nobis Corporate Travel concierge

"I couldn't have done what I did without Jen's constant attention to details, schedule changes, and my comfort. Thank you Jen and Nobis!"
